Requires persons engaging in sport fishing, hunting, trapping, fish farming, taxidermy, fur dealing, and nuisance wildlife control to have appropriate Department of Fish and Game licenses, tags, or permits in actual possession.

Permits licenses to be presented in either paper or electronic form, allowing digital display on electronic devices.

Provides that a person charged with violating license possession requirements for sport fishing or hunting may not be convicted if they provide evidence within 30 days of a valid license that was in effect at the time of the alleged offense.

Grants peace officers immunity from liability for damage to electronic devices presented to them, except when damage results from the officer's intentional misconduct.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
