Adds naturopaths to the list of healthcare professionals required to use appropriate professional identification letters or titles under AS 08.02.010.

Simplifies naturopath licensure requirements by eliminating the distinction between applicants licensed before or after December 31, 1987, and requiring only a degree from an accredited naturopathic medical school and passage of the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examination.

Grants licensed naturopaths authority to prescribe and administer natural therapeutic substances, natural therapies, devices for contraception, and certain drugs, while prohibiting prescription of controlled substances and cancer chemotherapeutic agents.

Permits naturopaths to perform minor surgical procedures on superficial tissues and conduct diagnostic examinations including physical exams, ultrasound, phlebotomy, and laboratory tests.

Requires naturopaths to complete 24 hours of continuing education within 24 months before license renewal and imposes the same public health duties as physicians regarding reportable diseases and vital statistics.
