CSHB 408(STA) - Revocation of a Driver's License

• Department may restore a driver's license after 10 years of revocation if the person has no driving-related criminal convictions since revocation and provides proof of financial responsibility.

• Department shall restore a driver's license if the person completed court-ordered or rehabilitative treatment, successfully drove under limited license for 3 years without revocation, has no violations of DUI/DWI statutes since revocation, and provides proof of financial responsibility.

• Department may restore a driver's license after 10 years of revocation if the person has no driving-related criminal convictions in the preceding 10 years or since revocation and was not convicted of violent crimes (AS 11.41.100-11.41.170, 11.41.200, 11.41.210, 11.41.280, or 11.41.282) related to the same incident.

• Amendments apply retroactively to driver's license revocations occurring before, on, or after the effective date of the Act for conduct before, on, or after the effective date.
