Adds naturopaths to the list of health care professionals required to use appropriate professional identification letters or titles in AS 08.02.010(a).

Simplifies naturopath licensure requirements by eliminating the December 31, 1987 cutoff date and requiring only a degree from an accredited naturopathic medical school and passage of the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examination.

Expands naturopath scope of practice to include prescribing natural therapeutic substances, natural therapies, contraceptive devices, and certain drugs; performing minor surgical procedures; and ordering diagnostic tests.

Permits naturopaths to prescribe testosterone and zolpidem as exceptions to the general prohibition on prescription drugs.

Establishes 24 hours of continuing education within 24 months as a requirement for license renewal and assigns naturopaths the same public health duties as physicians regarding reportable diseases and vital statistics.
