Removes the gender-specific language requiring marriage to be between "one man and one woman," allowing marriage between any two natural persons.

Changes marriage eligibility requirements to allow persons to marry if they are at least 18 years old and otherwise capable, emancipated under AS 09.55.590, or a member of the armed forces of the United States on active duty.

Repeals AS 25.05.171, which previously provided an alternative marriageable age of consent for minors.

Removes the provision that allowed persons under the marriageable age of consent to reach majority upon marriage, now requiring all married persons to reach majority only upon being married according to law.

Applies prospectively to persons married on or after the effective date of the Act.
