SB 165 Summary

• Amends AS 21.55.430(a) to remove requirement that the Department of Administration separately account for revenue collected under specified statutes and deposit net proceeds into the Alaska comprehensive health insurance fund.

• Maintains requirement that the Department of Administration deposit interest earned on the Alaska comprehensive health insurance fund into the general fund.

• Extends the repeal date of AS 21.55.430 from June 30, 2018 to June 30, 2024.

• Repeals AS 21.55.430(f).

• Establishes varying effective dates for sections: Section 4 takes effect immediately; Section 2 takes effect June 30, 2018; Sections 1 and 3 take effect July 1, 2018, with retroactive application provisions if sections take effect after their specified dates.
