Manufacturers must provide standard written warranties through dealers/distributors to ultimate purchasers, and remain liable for any contractor hired to fulfill warranty obligations.

Dealers and distributors must deliver operation/maintenance manuals, disclose all warranty terms and limitations, provide warranty service per manufacturer specifications, and submit reimbursement claims in the manufacturer's established manner.

Manufacturers must reimburse dealers/distributors for warranty services at the highest of: customary labor rates, manufacturer's flat rate, or industry-standard flat rate manual rates, plus one hour minimum for claim administration and employee travel costs.

If a covered product cannot be repaired after three or more attempts or is out of service for 30+ business days, the manufacturer must replace it with a comparable product or refund the full purchase price (minus depreciation) within 60 days of written notice.

Applies to equipment, tools, and non-registered motor vehicles designed for construction, mining, oil/gas projects, forestry, or similar industrial uses; violations constitute unfair trade practices under Alaska law.
