SB 61 Summary

• Amends AS 16.20.030(a) to modify the Izembek Refuge boundaries to include additional tide and submerged lands in specific townships and ranges in the Seward Meridian

• Expands the Cape Newenham State Game Refuge boundaries to include additional sections of tide and submerged land in Chagvan Bay

• Modifies Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge boundaries to include specific sections of state-owned land and water with various exclusions for surveyed areas

• Establishes or clarifies boundaries for Port Moller, Egegik, Pilot Point, Fox River Flats, Kachemak Bay, and Dude Creek Critical Habitat Areas with detailed township and range descriptions

• Adds provision allowing egress and ingress to private property within Dude Creek Critical Habitat Area through access corridors agreed upon by the Department of Natural Resources, Department of Fish and Game, and property owners; effective July 1, 2017
