Repeals and reenacts AS 24.10.060(a) to clarify that rules committees approve hiring of legislative employees for committees and caucuses during sessions, while the senate president or house speaker approves interim hires beyond those authorized under new subsection (g)

Adds new subsection (g) to AS 24.10.060 establishing that each legislature member may hire up to two employees: one permanent legislative employee and one seasonal legislative employee hired for the duration of each session

Limits compensation for these employees to a maximum salary rate of Range 17 on the state salary schedule set out in AS 39.27.011(a)
