Reduces the timeline for laboratory testing of sexual assault examination kits from one year to six months after the laboratory receives the kit

Requires law enforcement agencies to send collected sexual assault examination kits to an accredited laboratory within 30 days of collection in coordination with the Department of Public Safety

Mandates law enforcement make reasonable efforts to notify victims within two weeks after the laboratory completes serological or DNA testing on their kit

Takes effect July 1, 2021
