Redefines marriage as a civil contract between "two natural persons" instead of "one man and one woman," removing gender-specific language from Alaska marriage statutes.

Replaces gendered terms "husband" and "wife" with gender-neutral "spouse" throughout Alaska statutes covering marriage, divorce, adoption, property ownership, insurance, and workers' compensation.

Allows same-sex couples to jointly adopt children and establishes "spouse" as the standard term for birth certificates, inheritance laws, and family relationships.

Updates spousal immunity and marital communications privileges to apply to any lawful marriage regardless of the gender of the parties.

Changes AS 25.15 section heading from "Husband and Wife" to "Spouses" and repeals AS 25.05.013 as a conforming amendment.
