Requires superior court and district court judges to immediately report to law enforcement any threat of imminent harm to a child identified when issuing protective orders under domestic violence and protective order statutes.

Modifies mandatory reporting requirements by clarifying that reporting obligations apply to persons performing duties associated with their listed position, replacing previous language tied to occupational, appointed, or volunteer duties.

Adds three new categories of mandatory reporters: priests and religious officials, animal shelter workers, and fire department employees and volunteers including emergency medical technicians.

Requires mandatory reporters who suspect child abuse or neglect to immediately report to the department, and if suspected sex offense is involved, to also report immediately to law enforcement.

Takes effect September 1, 2020.
