Establishes gun violence protective orders allowing peace officers to petition district or superior courts to prohibit individuals from possessing, owning, purchasing, or receiving firearms or ammunition if they pose a danger to self or others.

Creates ex parte and emergency gun violence protective orders that can be issued without notice to the respondent, with ex parte orders lasting 20 days and emergency orders lasting 72 hours.

Requires respondents to surrender all firearms and ammunition to law enforcement or sell to a firearms dealer within 24 hours of receiving a protective order, with law enforcement retaining them until order expiration.

Requires physicians, psychologists, social workers, marital and family therapists, and licensed professional counselors to annually report serious threats of gun violence against reasonably identifiable victims to the Department of Health and Social Services.

Adds gun violence protective orders to the central registry maintained by the Department of Public Safety and makes violation of such orders a crime punishable by up to one year incarceration and up to $10,000 fine.
