AK HB69

Repeals the Alaska Public Broadcasting Commission and removes all statutory references to it, effective June 30, 2019.

Removes requirement that the commissioner of administration report requests to influence programming content to the Alaska Public Broadcasting Commission; reporting to the governor remains.

Eliminates all statutes creating and governing the Alaska Public Broadcasting Commission (AS 44.21.256 through 44.21.290 and related provisions).

Requires the Alaska Public Broadcasting Commission to transfer all assets to the commissioner of administration, who must then transfer assets at no cost to Alaska non-profit public broadcasting entities.
