Dedicates Capitol Room 106 in the Alaska State Capitol (currently the House Health and Social Services Committee Room and House Education Committee Room) to late Senator Bettye J. Davis

Senator Davis served in the Alaska House of Representatives from the 17th through 19th legislatures and in the Alaska Senate from the 22nd through 27th legislatures, holding leadership positions including majority and minority whip and committee chair roles

Davis was the first African American woman elected to the Alaska State House of Representatives and the first African American elected to the Alaska State Senate

Legislative accomplishments include passage of Acts addressing suicide prevention, foster care, minimum wage increases, mental health care, good governance, and youth courts throughout the state

A bronze plaque shall be placed on or near the door of the room commemorating Davis' service and her recognition as the "Conscience of the Legislature," with a copy of the resolution presented to her family
