AK HCR6

Amends Rule 3(b) of the Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature to modify employment authority for legislative employees.

Replaces the term "secretarial help" with "any additional employees" to be assigned to individual members.

Allows each legislature member to hire without prior approval one permanent legislative employee and one seasonal legislative employee hired for the duration of each session.

Requires the Rules Committees of both houses to jointly decide compensation and conditions of employment for staff within budgeted amounts.

Directs the director of administrative services of the Legislative Affairs Agency to assist and make recommendations to Rules Committees and members regarding staff compensation and related matters.
