AK HJR11

Amends Article XII, Section 5 of the Alaska Constitution to add explicit prohibition against religious tests for public office.

Adds language stating "No religious test, secular or otherwise, shall be required as a qualification for any public office."

Preserves the existing oath of office requirement for all public officers to support and defend the U.S. and Alaska constitutions.

Allows the legislature to prescribe additional oaths or affirmations beyond the standard oath.

Proposes the amendment be placed on the ballot at the next general election for voter approval, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 1 of the Alaska Constitution.
