Alaska Legislature requests Congress pass legislation allowing individuals qualified to carry concealed handguns in one state to carry them in other states that permit concealed carry.

Resolution specifically encourages passage of the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 (H.R. 38) or Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 (S. 446) from the 115th Congress, or similar legislation.

Resolution requests the President sign concealed carry reciprocity legislation into law if Congress passes such a bill.

Resolution cites Second Amendment protections, Alaska Constitution Article I Section 19 right to bear arms, and existing state concealed handgun permit requirements under AS 18.65.700-18.65.790.

Copies of the resolution shall be sent to the President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, and Alaska's congressional delegation.
