Requests that the United States Coast Guard name one of two new polar class icebreakers the "Polar Bear" to honor the legacy of the USCGC Bear, a vessel that served from 1884 to 1944 in Arctic exploration and patrols.

Urges the Coast Guard to permanently station the polar class icebreakers in the Arctic to ensure safe year-round navigation and national security.

Notes that the Natural Resources Management Act of 2019 appropriated funds for two new polar class icebreakers for Arctic service.

Argues that naming a vessel "Polar Bear" encourages Arctic placement since polar bears exist only in Arctic regions requiring ice-breaking capabilities.

Directs copies of the resolution to be sent to the President, Vice President, Coast Guard Commandant, and Alaska's federal congressional delegation.
