SB 142 Summary

• Department of Health and Social Services must prepare a report by January 2, 2022 on health effects of radiofrequency radiation exposure in schools, submitted to the Department of Education and Early Development and relevant legislative committees.

• Report must review peer-reviewed, independently funded scientific studies examining health effects on children ages 3-17 from radiofrequency radiation exposure in schools, including from wireless network technologies.

• Department of Education and Early Development shall develop recommendations based on report findings before the following school year to advise schools on best practices and alternative technologies that reduce student exposure to radiofrequency radiation.
