Allows the Department of Motor Vehicles to mail state identification cards to Department of Corrections addresses upon request for applicants serving active prison sentences exceeding 120 days.

Allows the Department of Motor Vehicles to mail renewed driver's licenses to Department of Corrections addresses upon request for licensees serving active prison sentences exceeding 120 days.

Requires the Department of Corrections to make a good faith effort to ensure prisoners serving sentences exceeding 120 days obtain a state identification card before release, with the department paying the application fee.

Removes the requirement for state identification instruction from the reentry program curriculum while maintaining instruction on community resources for housing, employment, and treatment.

Takes effect January 1, 2021.
