SB 211 Summary

• Department of Education shall create a system providing annual bonuses of not less than $10,000 per year to eligible teachers
• Eligibility requires employment as a classroom teacher in a public school in Alaska and current national board certification
• Bonus payments do not affect the recipient's employment status or make them a state employee
• Amends AS 14.20 by adding new section 14.20.225 to establish the bonus program
