AK SB42

Authorizes the director of the Department of Natural Resources to quitclaim land or interests in land to the federal government after determining the land was wrongfully or erroneously conveyed by the federal government to the state.

Adds this quitclaim authority as a new subsection (14) to AS 38.05.035(a), establishing it as an official power of the director.

Exempts quitclaims made under this authority from certain land transfer provisions in AS 38.05.125(b) and AS 38.05.321(c).

Repeals the previous version of the authority that was located in AS 38.05.035(b)(9) and consolidates the language into the new subsection.

Makes technical corrections to pronoun references in AS 38.05.035(a)(9), changing "their" and "them" to "its" and "it" for consistency.
