Proclaims April 2019 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Alaska and encourages state residents to take action to prevent sexual violence.

Notes that an estimated 33 out of 100 Alaska women have experienced sexual assault within their lifetime according to the 2015 Alaska Victimization Survey.

Documents that in 2016, 2,126 children were evaluated by child advocacy centers for possible sexual abuse and 1,625 adult victims sought services at rape crisis centers.

Highlights 16 Alaska communities with sexual assault response teams and identifies evidence-based prevention programs including Fourth R curriculum in grades 7-9, Girls on the Run, Coaching Boys into Men, and Green Dot Alaska.

Recognizes over 3,100 volunteers who contributed 48,483 hours of service to sexual assault prevention and survivor support efforts in 2016.
