AK SJR14

Amends Article II, Section 16 of the Alaska Constitution to change the veto override threshold for all bills from a three-fourths majority to a two-thirds majority of legislature members.

Eliminates the previous distinction that gave bills to raise revenue and appropriation bills a lower three-fourths threshold, making all vetoed bills subject to the same two-thirds standard.

Maintains existing procedures for reconsidering vetoed bills, including immediate joint session meetings during regular sessions and reconsideration deadlines for bills vetoed after adjournment.

Requires recording the veto override vote on the journals of both houses.

Places the constitutional amendment before Alaska voters at the next general election for approval.
