HB 100 Summary

• Amends AS 23.15.835(d) to extend the funding allocation period for the Alaska Workforce Investment Board from fiscal year ending June 30, 2021 through June 30, 2024.

• Allocates collected funds and appropriations to 10 institutions in specified percentages: University of Alaska (45%), Alaska Vocational Technical Center (17%), Alaska Technical Center (9%), Yuut Elitnaurviat Inc. People's Learning Center (9%), Ilisagvik College (5%), Galena Interior Learning Academy (4%), Northwestern Alaska Career and Technical Center (3%), Southwest Alaska Vocational and Education Center (3%), Partners for Progress in Delta Inc. (3%), and Amundsen Educational Center (2%).

• Funds are designated for programs consistent with AS 23.15.820-23.15.850 and capital improvements.

• Makes the act retroactive to June 30, 2021 if it takes effect after that date.

• Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
