Exempts defensive display of a firearm from assault in the third degree charges under AS 11.41.220(a)(1)(A).

Exempts defensive display of a firearm from assault in the fourth degree charges under AS 11.41.230(a)(3).

Exempts defensive display of a firearm from reckless endangerment charges under AS 11.41.250(a).

Defines "defensive display of a firearm" to include openly wearing, carrying, or possessing a firearm; verbally informing another person of firearm possession; holding a firearm without pointing it at another person; displaying a firearm to dissuade a threatening person; and warning of firearm availability to dissuade threats.

Applies these exemptions only to offenses committed on or after the effective date of the Act.
