Legislature shall convene in the Municipality of Anchorage at the Legislative Information Office each year on the third Tuesday in January at 1:00 p.m., replacing the previous designation of "capital city" as the session location.

Restrictions on campaign contribution solicitation during legislative sessions apply specifically to the Municipality of Anchorage during regular sessions and to the municipality where special sessions are held, allowing some fundraising outside Anchorage during 90-day pre-election periods.

Lobbyists must register their temporary residential and business addresses in the "location of the session" rather than the "state capital," with lobbyist directories made available at the Legislative Information Office in Anchorage.

Annual student legislative guests and essay contest participants must travel to the Municipality of Anchorage to observe the legislature and complete their assignments.

Effective date is January 1, 2023; repeals three sections of AS 44.06 related to prior capital location provisions.
