Pharmacists may independently prescribe, dispense, and administer nonprescription drugs and devices, subject to board regulations.

Pharmacists may independently prescribe and administer vaccines and opioid overdose drugs if they complete approved training programs; pharmacy technicians may administer vaccines under pharmacist supervision if authorized by the board.

Pharmacists may provide patient care services for general health and wellness, disease prevention, or minor self-limiting conditions under a collaborative practice agreement or independently when authorized.

Health insurance policies must provide coverage and reimbursement for services within a pharmacist's scope of practice, and pharmacists are recognized as covered providers under state health insurance non-discrimination laws.

The Board of Pharmacy's authority is expanded to establish standards for independent prescribing and monitoring of drug therapy, and to regulate wholesale drug distributors, third-party logistics providers, and outsourcing facilities located outside the state.
