Licensees must submit renewal applications at least 60 days before their license lapses to avoid penalties.

A $250 additional processing fee is imposed if a renewal application is submitted less than 60 days before the license lapses.

Licenses that lapse are subject to renewal fees, and a delayed renewal penalty (established by regulation) must be paid before renewal if the license has been lapsed for more than 60 days.

The department may only adopt a delayed renewal penalty with the concurrence of the appropriate regulatory board.
