Increases permanent partial impairment compensation from $177,000 to $273,000, multiplied by the employee's percentage of permanent impairment of the whole person.

Raises funeral expense death benefit cap from $10,000 to $12,000.

Increases death benefit for dependents without widow or widower from $20,000 to $150,000 aggregate for father, mother, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.

Increases lump sum death benefit for surviving widow, widower, or children from $5,000 to $8,000.

Death benefits payable to children continue until age 23, unless extended under existing law; Act takes effect January 1, 2023.
