Restricts release of criminal justice records for convictions involving possession of less than one ounce of a Schedule VIA controlled substance (marijuana) when the defendant was 21 years or older and had no other criminal charges in the case.

Prohibits agencies from releasing such records unless the defendant requests that the records be released.

Prohibits the Alaska Court System from publishing qualifying marijuana possession conviction records on publicly available Internet websites.

Requires the Alaska Court System to remove existing court records meeting these criteria from its publicly available Internet website to the extent practicable.

Takes effect January 1, 2023, with the stated legislative intent of reducing employment barriers for people convicted of low-level marijuana possession crimes that would be legal under Alaska law.
