Prohibits employers from requiring employees to assign rights to inventions developed entirely on the employee's own time without using employer equipment, supplies, facilities, or trade secrets.

Creates exceptions allowing employers to require assignment if the invention relates to the employer's business or research/development, or if it results from work performed for the employer.

Declares employment agreement provisions that violate these protections unenforceable.

Makes unenforceable any employment agreement provision that prohibits employees who reside and work in Alaska from seeking relief under this law in Alaska courts.

Applies only to employment agreements entered into on or after the effective date of the Act.
