SB 4001 Summary

• Appropriates $13,500,000 from the Permanent Fund Dividend Fund to the Department of Health & Social Services for Public Assistance related to a Permanent Fund Dividend Hold Harmless program for fiscal year 2022 (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022).

• Appropriates $795,609,508 from the Alaska Permanent Fund earnings reserve account to the dividend fund for payment of a supplementary permanent fund dividend and administrative costs for fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.

• The appropriation for the permanent fund dividend does not lapse and is designated for fund capitalization.

• Act is retroactive to July 1, 2021 and takes effect immediately.
