Alaska Police Standards Council shall adopt regulations requiring police, probation, parole, municipal correctional officers, and correctional officers to report deadly force incidents to a supervisor as soon as practicable.

Council shall maintain a central registry of officers who have had certificates denied or revoked, including reasons for denial or revocation, and submit annual registry updates to the legislature by December 1.

Municipalities must require municipal correctional facility employees to meet the same standards as municipal correctional officers under AS 18.65.130-18.65.290, eliminating the previous optional ordinance requirement.

Department of Public Safety, Department of Corrections, and municipalities must report all use-of-force incidents by state troopers, village public safety officers, regional public safety officers, probation officers, parole officers, correctional officers, and municipal police to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Department of Public Safety shall submit an annual statewide use-of-force report to the legislature by December 1 each year, compiling information submitted to the FBI by all state and municipal agencies.
