SB 50 Summary

• Appropriates $1,444,959,266 for capital projects and grants across multiple state agencies including transportation, environmental conservation, fish and game, and public facilities.

• Allocates major funding for transportation infrastructure ($1,119,465,403), village water and wastewater projects ($68,480,000), and Alaska Energy Authority programs ($56,500,000).

• Makes additional $25,529,400 appropriation to Department of Revenue for Revenue Collections System Enhancements.

• Reappropriates $16,542,766 in unexpended balances from prior transportation projects to the Alaska capital income fund.

• Takes effect July 1, 2021, except sections relating to reappropriations and Department of Revenue which take effect June 30, 2021.
