SB 7 Summary

• Amends AS 44.41.020 to require the Department of Public Safety to publish current policies and procedures related to peace officer and village public safety officer conduct on its Internet website.

• Exempts policies and procedures from publication if they would disclose confidential law enforcement investigation or prosecution techniques.

• Exempts policies and procedures from publication if disclosure could reasonably risk circumvention of the law.

• Exempts policies and procedures from publication if disclosure could reasonably be expected to endanger the life or physical safety of an individual.
