SB 70 Summary

• Removes the June 30, 2021 expiration date for standing orders issued by the chief medical officer for opioid overdose drugs, allowing statewide standing orders to continue indefinitely.

• Modifies the annual reporting requirement to specifically describe activities and expenditures related to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grants and opioid overdose drug distribution.

• Repeals Section 2 of Chapter 1, SLA 2017, which contained the original sunset provision for standing orders.

• Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
