Updates Alaska Statutes 47.25.980(a) to reference the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (7 U.S.C. 2011-2036d) instead of the Food Stamp Program (7 U.S.C. 2011-2036).

Requires the department to certify each eligible household for the longest certification period permitted under federal law.

Mandates establishment of an electronic application system for the food stamp program allowing applicants to submit applications electronically or in other formats required by state and federal law.

Requires electronic applications to include a warning that false statements on the application will be investigated and are punishable under AS 11.56.210.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
