Sterilization of a minor is established as a class A felony, with affirmative defenses only available if the procedure was necessary to preserve life or prevent serious physical health impairment, or if the minor was already infertile.

Prosecution for sterilization of a minor may be commenced at any time, with no statute of limitations, consistent with other serious crimes involving minors.
