Law enforcement agencies must submit a missing person report to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System within 30 days after the initial report if the person's location has not been determined.

Medical and dental records release forms must authorize disclosure to the law enforcement agency, clearinghouse, and National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.

Physicians and dentists receiving signed release forms shall release information necessary to identify the missing person to the law enforcement agency, clearinghouse, and National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.

Medical and dental records obtained under this section shall be provided to both the clearinghouse and the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.

Law enforcement agencies shall submit available fingerprints, photographs, and voluntary DNA samples from family members of the missing person to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.
