Increases the Local Boundary Commission membership from five to six members, with one member appointed from each of the four judicial districts, one from the unorganized borough, and one from the state at large.

Extends commission member terms from five years to six years, with terms remaining overlapping.

Changes commission chair selection from automatic designation of the state-at-large member to selection by vote among all commission members.

Applies the six-year term requirement only to members appointed after the effective date, leaving existing members' terms unaffected.

Takes effect January 31, 2025.
