Department of Health may apply for federal Section 1115 waivers to establish demonstration projects addressing health-related needs and supportive services for medical assistance recipients in specific geographic areas, including nutrition, food security, workforce development, transportation, housing, and case management.

School districts may receive medical assistance reimbursement for rehabilitative, mandatory, and optional services provided to eligible children, including non-disabled children, without requiring services to be included in an individualized education program.

School districts receiving medical assistance reimbursement must have agreements to reimburse the state for required financial shares and must comply with billing, auditing, and reporting requirements under the approved state plan.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program eligibility expanded to include individuals with household income not exceeding 200 percent of the federal poverty guideline regardless of household assets through categorical eligibility implementation.

Electronic application system for food stamp program required, with warnings that false statements are subject to investigation and criminal penalties under Alaska law; takes effect July 1, 2025.
