AK HJR12

Amends Article II, Section 3 of the Alaska Constitution to impose term limits on state legislators: representatives limited to six full terms and senators limited to three full terms.

Prevents individuals from being nominated, elected, or appointed to either office after reaching their respective term limits.

Adds Article XV, Section 30 to establish that years served before the First Regular Session of the Thirty-Fourth Alaska State Legislature do not count toward the new tenure limits.

Requires the proposed constitutional amendments to be placed on the ballot at the next general election for voter approval, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 1 of the Alaska Constitution.
