Individuals whose convictions are vacated or reversed become eligible to receive permanent fund dividends for each year they were ineligible, provided the charges are later dismissed or they are retried and found not guilty.

Applicants must apply for retroactive permanent fund dividends no later than one year after the dismissal or not guilty finding.

The dividend calculation formula is amended to include permanent fund dividend payments owed to individuals whose convictions have been vacated, reversed, or dismissed when determining total available dividend payments.

Individuals whose dismissal or not guilty finding occurred before this Act's effective date have one year from the effective date to apply for permanent fund dividends under the new provisions.
