SB 80 Summary

• Corrects technical and outdated statutory language throughout Alaska Statutes as recommended by the revisor of statutes.

• Changes terminology from "ALCOHOL" to "alcoholic beverages" in statutes governing purchasing restrictions and licensed premises violations.

• Replaces outdated references to magnetic tape data storage with current information requirements for jury list compilation by the Department of Revenue and Department of Administration.

• Removes obsolete provisions referencing "Coastal Resource Service Areas" and "Coastal Districts" from forestry, environmental, and municipal planning statutes.

• Updates federal statute citations to current versions, including references to the Military Selective Service Act and Federally Recognized Indian Tribe List Act, with most changes effective immediately and Section 2 effective January 1, 2024.
