Increases the maximum allowance for injury or disablement claims from $10,000 to $15,000 and increases the maximum allowance for heart attack claims from $10,000 to $15,000

Establishes tiered benefit reductions based on fund balance: if the unexpended balance falls below $7,500,000, benefits reduce to $10,000; if below $5,000,000, benefits reduce to $5,000

Increases vessel owner protection and indemnity insurance claim benefits from $5,000 to $15,000 (or the full deductible amount, whichever is less), with the same tiered reductions as other benefits

Adds "viral infections" to the definition of occupational disease for fishermen, expanding coverage of disease claims

Takes effect immediately upon passage
