• Reduces Board of Pharmacy public member requirement from two to one person with no direct financial interest in the health care industry.

• Changes pharmacy licensing and regulation from a registration system to a licensure system for out-of-state pharmacies, manufacturers, and wholesale drug distributors.

• Removes the "good moral character" requirement from reciprocal pharmacist licensure eligibility standards.

• Grants pharmacists authority to independently prescribe and administer epinephrine auto-injectors to trained individuals under Board of Pharmacy-approved training programs under AS 17.22.020(b).

• Transfers responsibility for approving epinephrine auto-injector training programs from the Department of Health to the Board of Pharmacy, and eliminates ampule-based epinephrine training program requirements.
