Requires each Alaska school district to establish and provide a financial literacy education program for students in grades 9-12, with instruction equivalent to at least one-half credit hour.

Students cannot receive a secondary school diploma without completing the financial literacy program, except those who transfer into a district after completing grade 10.

Program must include instruction on 15 topics: financial institutions, budgeting, money management, loans, insurance, taxes, fraud prevention, contracts, billing disputes, interest rates, savings and investments, retirement accounts, inheritances, financial aid, and Alaska Native corporation dividends and shares.

Department of Education must curate and maintain an approved list of open educational resources addressing the required topics, updating the list at least every five years.

Act takes effect July 1, 2025, and applies to students graduating on or after January 1, 2026.
