AK SJR5

Reduces the maximum duration of Alaska's regular legislative sessions from 120 consecutive calendar days to 90 consecutive calendar days.

Allows a regular session to be extended once for up to 10 additional consecutive calendar days with approval of at least two-thirds of each house's membership.

Requires the legislature to adopt deadlines for scheduling session work as part of uniform rules of procedure.

Amendment applies first to the First Regular Session of the Thirty-Fourth Alaska State Legislature (2026) and all subsequent sessions.

Requires voter approval at the next general election before the amendment takes effect.
